Why did he do it? Because he could. And when you have that kind of money floating about, it must be tempting to shock the world. It didn’t go well. The messaging system that, unlike Facebook and WhatsApp, was favoured by an educated elite has halved in value with Musk himself pegging its current worth at $20bn.
